what happens legally if i beat the **** out of a cocky college student in a bar in san diego?obviously i would also get evading arrest if i were to be caught doing this

You will be in a world of hurt.

For starters, it hasn't happened yet, but you are already making plans for when it "just might"... which means it IS premeditated.

So, you are gunning for a fight and looking to find out how hard your pee-pee is going to be slapped afterward?  If you are already looking for outs for when you "lose your temper," it looks like you have more problems than you think.

Try being a Marine and acting like a professional - no matter how hard they might try to tick you off.  It'll pay off in the long run.

You will be charged with assault, bringing discredit to the armed forces, bringing discredit to the usa, and if you run or try to hide then you can add other charges...If you are drinking while this happens then you can add drunk and disorderly..If they see this question after you commit your crime it will show pre-meditation which is very bad for you.

If you hit someone and they fall and die from the fall you will be charged with some form of manslaughter..If you injure someone bad enough during a fight in can be attempted manslaughter.homicide.

Depending on your personal record and the charges you will either receive office hours or a court martial.

This is what the USMC will do to you..I will say the civilian police would charge you with the same.
