Question:

USMC rank after JROTC

I know that if you take JROTC in high school you can join the Army as an PFC (E-3). Is it the same thing for the Marine Corps? Can you join as a LCpl which is also an E-3? Or do you get Pfc (E-2), or does JROTC not get you rank in the Marine Corps?

  1. JROTC will give you the rank of e-3 in any branch of the military under these conditions.

You have a form (i forgot the name of the form) signed by the JROTC Commander stating that you have completed 3 or more years of JROTC. Thats really about it. I do belive that form is good for about 10 years. But, if you have it, or even your high school transcripts (im almost positive those will count) then you should be good.

  2. If you have completed two years of JROTC,

Then you can enlist in the marine Corps as an E-2.

But like all advanced enlistment rank,

The rank does not start, untill you have graduated Boot.

  3. i was not in jrotc but you will only recieve e-2. only people to get e3 are former military and honor grad
