Question:

USPS Express Mail Tracking?

I recently bought something from someone and they shipped overnight (express). He gave me a tracking number like this EB 000000000 US.

Is that the correct format for a USPS Tracking number?

He sent the package approx. 12AM and a day later the tracking hasn't updated at all it just says "There is no record of this item."

Should I be worried?

Thanks!

  1. If he just shipped it today, you won't be able to track it for at least 24 hours. SOMETIMES, you can't track it at all. If he paid for his postage and got the number online, it's usually pretty worthless for at least 24 hours. Express Mail is usually supposed to DELIVERED within 48 hours, so tracking it is pretty useless. PRIORITY mail takes up to 3 days.

I'm not sure about the format for Express Mail, but Priority mail is usually a 16 digit (or more) number with NO letters.
