ok i just bought a phone from overstock.com and on the status in their website it says that it already shipped but when i click on the USPS tracking number it says this:

The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on August 18, 2008 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Delivery status information will be provided if / when available. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later.

What does this mean?????? Did the shpping company lose my item or what?? :(!

  1. Overstock schedules their shipping online.  They have arranged for your phone to be shipped and the post office knows about it, but the actual shipping hasn't happened yet.  Keep checking, you'll see it get picked up.

  2. No, your package is on its way. This message means that they don't have the arrival date. (When it is scheduled to arrive at your house). Most delivery companies are like this, it takes a day or two to get delivery date information, but it comes fast. Regularly check to see if there are no problems and it should come in a matter of days/weeks, depending on the shipping you chose.

  3. I use this all the time. No it does not mean your item is lost. It's just confirming that it will be shipped out, and that it doesn't mean of the exact date when you will receive it. Just keep tracking it.

  4. no .relax.it means.he put already the package.and they was notified about this.i use this site 10 in a week so i know.
