Question:

USPS Shipping to PO Boxes?!?

I just ordered from an online store, and selected for my order to be shipped USPS Priority Mail. Every other time I've used this method, my packages are shipped to my PO Box... if I try to use my house address, they get sent back. But this store says that they don't ship to PO Boxes. I didn't notice this until AFTER I placed my order. What in the world do I do? Will the order still ship to my PO Box as usual or should I contact the company?

  1. Further information is needed.

WHY don't you get postal delivery to your home?

Contact your local postal delivery office to find out if the can deliver the package and not return or send it to your PO Box.

USPS should always deliver to the house if the address is listed on the package, unless for reasons the post office can NOT deliver to the house.

USPS will not deliver to the home if you have a KNOWN DOG PROBLEM, have put in a Forward Request to your PO BOX, etc. Talk with the regular mail carrier on your route and see what he/she advises.

    Good Luck

  2. USPS = United States Postal Service (which is where you have a po box)

Priority mail WILL ship to a po box... but not UPS. UPS will only deliver to a physical address... I would call and clarify. You might have to wait till it is returned and have them reship it.
