USPS and delivery?

I ordered a book from amazon, and on the tracking page it says it has been "delivered" yesterday by USPS. It's been 30 hours now and I haven't seen my book yet!!! Though they claim it's been delivered! I called amazon, and they told me to check with USPS but when I call them I keep getting the operator and I cannot talk to an actual person. Has anybody been in a similar situation? Arrrrgh I'm so pissed Why would they say that my book has been delivered when obviously it has not!!!! What should I do?

  1. 1. Make sure that no one else might have brought the package inside for you, or stuck it somewhere you didn't think to look. Look under the porch.

    2. Double check the address that they sent it to - it's possible that it WAS delivered, but to the wrong address.

    3. Go to the post office with the tracking number and speak to a cashier there.

Occasionally, a package that is "undeliverable" is returned to the sender, but the status will still be "delivered" - my bookstore has had this happen several times. If you really don't get your package, you can file an "A to Z guarantee" claim, which means you will get your money back, but you may have to order the book again. This is a last resort - don't file a claim until you've followed the steps above.

  3. 1. Check that you ordered it to the right address.

    2. Go to the post office--maybe you weren't at home when they delivered the book, so they took it to the post office.
