USPS customs waiting time?

Question

does anyone work, or know anyone that works for ISC NEW YORK? Ive had a package that I sent on the 14th of august to North Carolina from the UK and its been sat in new york ISC since the 15th. The tracking page just says that its arrived at the ISC in New York for the last week. Im guessing they are backed up but does anyone know what the waiting time usually is - or does anyone have a similar situation that they've sent a package recently ?

I am a Postal Employee.  USPS is very efficient. It takes an "act of God' for it not to be.  Sounds to me like the person delivering your package did not scan "as delivered".  Give it another day just to see if it tracks, then call final destination to see if it has arrived.
