  1. Most likely it is still enroute somewhere.  It often takes quite a while for mail between the US and Canada.  And a previous poster gave you several possibilities about what might have happened to it.  Chances are it will arrive soon.  While the postal services can be slow, they usually do get the mail to its destination.

  2. Did you put  your return adress on it corect postal code ???

  3. The first possible answer is, as stated in your question, your letter is lost in the mail.  There are, of course, other possibilities, many of which I have done over the years:

You did not put sufficient postage or forgot to put postage on the envelope.

The address you wrote was incorrect or a part of the address was missing (I received a letter back because I forgot the "s" at the end of the stree name, everything else was correct).

Hopefully if the top two apply you remembered to put your return address on it.  Other possibilities are:

It is merrily winding its way there just taking a bit longer than usual.

You sent it to an address in British Columbia and forgot to put "Canada" on the envelope so the post office sent it to Bogota, Columbia in South America.  It will get to the correct address in about 6 months, at least that is how long a letter sent to us from the US took with the same problem.
