Question:

USPS lost package?

Hello,

I bought a cell phone on eBay , then the seller sent me by USPS. When I checked it on USPS's web-site, they said it has been delivered on DEC 27. I went to the post office today. I got the same answer. The officer told me to contact the seller.

The problem is I never receive anything. Now I don't know what I should do. Is there any policie that can assist me ?

Thank you

  1. If you tracked it using the number, then it was delivered.  Apparently somebody is stealing your mail.  Try having things sent to your work address rather than your home.  That's what I do, so theives can't steal packages off my front porch.

OR, you might consider getting a P.O. box.  That's the most secure way to get mail.

  2. I am assuming no one signed for the package, so even though the post office said it was delivered the seller would have to get proof of delivery. Depending on how the item was shipped is going to be your answer. If you had it shipped over night you should have signed for it. Did the package have insurance?

If you have not gone to usps.com then that would be my first stop to look up the rules on how the item was shipped. But you are the customer, so let the seller do all of this leg work for you.
