  1. if untreated it can cause alot of issues but if you took care of it and the dr does not see any reason to set off any alarms you are ok

  2. Ohhhh no don't think like that, I had UTI with this second pregnant at my 7 weeks pregnant, I went to the doctor they gave me UTI med to kill infection, it's gone now no more UTI thank god, but you can take med pills to help to kill your UTI infection, talk with your doctor, but don't think it's will cause you miscarry, most doctors told me it's normal while pregnancy woman get UTI, so don't worry too much, god bless!

  3. HI im pregnant too and i got a uti its okay just go to the hospital and get proper antibiotics drink allot of water and cranberry juice and you and the baby will be fine :)

  4. Highly doubtful.

I had one when i was in my second trimester. i wasnt really that far along. my UTI actually caused my body to start having contractions. But as soon as i started to feel pain, i went to the hospital... and they started me on an antibiotic, and i was fine. Trust me the infection (unless it goes untreated) wont hurt your baby..

Urinary tract infections (UTI) are infections in the bladder, kidneys, ureters (the tubes that carry urine from your kidneys to your bladder) or urethra (the tube that carries urine from your bladder to the outside of your body). UTIs are caused by bacteria. The most common type of UTI is a bladder infection. Other types of UTIs are kidney infections and infections of the urethra.

If you have a UTI and it isn't treated, it may lead to a kidney infection. Kidney infections may cause early labor. Fortunately, asymptomatic bacteriuria and bladder infections can usually be found and treated before the kidneys become infected. If your doctor treats a urinary tract infection early and properly, it won't hurt your baby.

Your doctor will prescribe an antibiotic that is safe for you and the baby. You can help by drinking a lot of water to help flush the germs from your urine.

You should call your doctor if you have a fever (over 100.5 degrees), chills, lower stomach pains, nausea, vomiting or flank pain. You should also call your doctor if you have any contractions, or if, after taking medicine for 3 days, you still have a burning feeling when you urinate.

You can help prevent UTIs in several ways. First, you should always drink plenty of liquids (water is the best). You should urinate often. Don't wait for long periods of time before you urinate. Always urinate after sexual intercourse. After you urinate, always wipe from front to back to prevent the spread of bacteria.

  5. Highly unlikely...just be sure to go to your doc to get the right prescription to treat it.

  6. I had it. I found out i was pregnant at 10 weeks. When i got my results back saying I had UTI, I didnt know for how long i had, had it. But I thought it was something that could wait. But they say your child can have a birth defect or you can have a miscarriage, from the bacteria.

So with that being said get a perscription from your doctor. My doctor gave me these nasty pills, I was to take 2 a day for 7 days. At the end of the week I was UTI FREE.

  7. If the UTI was left untreated long enough to spread to your kidneys and cause a kidney infection, it could lead to miscarriage or in later pregnancy, premature labor.

  8. I don't think so. I had a UTI and just thought it was a flue for the longest time finally i went to the doc office the baby was fine and they just gave me the right meds to treat it
