ok i got my period on july 16th, and it lasted 2 days..it wasn't light, it was regular. my back was hurting so my mom took me to the doc.(july 19.?) and she said i had a UTI. the doc. called my mom on august 4th telling her i have e coli. she gave me meds went i went for a doc. visit, and told me to take the meds for 14 days. i do NOT take them when i'm supposed to (every 12 hours) & i go days without taking the meds. anyways i really think that i could be pregnant..could i be pregnant if my period DID come but only lasted 2 days, & if the uti caused it to come or something?

thank you god bless

  1. It is important to have a pregnancy test if the female is of reproductive age, before taking any medication.  Sometimes we cannot rely on the quality and the duration of the last menses, for it can be an implantation bleeding meaning you are pregnant.  Better have a pregnancy test, tell your doctor what the result is and take his prescription to prevent aggravation of the uti.  E. coli is a bacteria which commonly results to a UTI, if it gets to your urinary tract or urethra.

  2. I had my normal period before I found out that I was pregnant. A few days later, I had went to the doctor for some discomfort, and had a UTI and found out that I was pregnant.  Just take the meds like you are supposed to because if you are not in good health, neither will be the baby.  Not taking care of a UTI and other sickness can actually make things a lot harder on you if you are pregnant.

  3. E Coli AND a UTI.....and you think you are pregnant?

Im no doctor, but I would tell your boyfriend that, if he performs anal s*x that he cant put his p***s back in your mouth or v****a.

It would be a very rare thing to have fecal contamination in both your mouth and your v****a at the same time, without a "curious boyfriend"  to blame.  Your pregnancy fears seem to confirm that.

Start making better choices for yourself.

  4. More than likely you being sick caused your period to be short, but if you have been having s*x and have any other symptoms (sore breast, nausea, tired) the only way to know if you are pregnant is to test.  You need to take the med as directed and finish them or your infection will not get better, it may even get worse.
