Uber Cup Finals 2012: Wang Xiaoli – Yu Yang (F) trounce Kim Min Jung – Ha Jung Eun – Badminton news
China’s Wang Xiaoli and Yu Yang (F) showed their hard-to-learn skills in the court when they put up superb show and hammered Kim Min Jung and Ha Jung Eun in the final of Uber Cup Finals 2012 in China, on Saturday, May 26.
Yang and Xiaoli, who have been placed at number one in Women’s Doubles world rankings, lived up to the expectations of their home fans and registered a convincing win over their Korean opponents.
The top seeded Chinese duo show impressive skills and outclassed the Korean rivals in a staggering fashion by ending the fight in straight games while taking 54 minutes in the court.
In the meanwhile, the World Number 3 Min Jung and Jung Eun tried to put up strong against their higher ranked Chinese opponents but failed prove their worth and lost the battle in two games without creating a strong impact.
In the opening set, the Chinese ladies started their run in a convincing fashion as they played with precision and took an early lead.
On the other hand, the Koreans also geared up their speed and remained close until the mid-game break.
After the break, the higher ranked Yang and Xiaoli played attacking badminton and did not let their rivals to take control of the game at any stage.
The Chinese shuttlers remained consistent in the court and took the first game with a remarkable margin of 21-15.
In the following set, Yang and Xiaoli did not slow down their speed and continued playing remarkable badminton without showing any respect to their rivals in the court.
Until the one-minute break in the second set of this Women’s Doubles competition, the Chinese ladies were sailing smoothly while remaining far ahead on the score board.
After the break, Yang and Xiaoli continued putting up strong performance in the court and easily thrashed their Korean opponents in the second set with a one-sided 21-13 score on the board.
Min Jung and Jung Eun failed to stop the aggression of their opponents and remained struggling in the court.
Yang and Xiaoli showed their elevated run in the battle and won it with a tremendous score of 21-15 and 21-13.
