Ubique keeps victory in sight in the O’Brien And Partners Chartered Accountants Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race
Ubique’s performance is anxiously awaited, as he will be competing in the O’Brien And Partners Chartered Accountants Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race which will take place at Ffos Las on 17th February, 2012.
The five-year-old gelding will be competing against Fitandproperjob, Here Comes Moss, Pennant Dancer, Seranwen, Swashbuckling Boy, Ifan, Missus Green, Royal Native, Titchwood, Vinnie My Boy, and Wild West over a distance of 2 miles for a purse of £1,754.
Trained by Mark Bradstock, the gelding performed well in his career debut which took place on 21st December, 2011. He finished as a runner-up in the Oddschecker.mobi “Newcomers” Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race at Ffos
Las, where he lost by a massive distance of 30 lengths to the race favourite, Gevrey Chambertin.
The son of Flemensfirth, out of mare Clamper, stood at a decent place but he did not threaten the winner in any way.
The bettors speculate that he has the potential to lead as he showed promise in his debut.
Royal Native is an interesting prospect, who could take the lead in this race. The son of King’s Theatre, out of mare Hollygrove Native finished in second place in his career debut, a performance which greatly satisfied his trainer, Anthony Honeyball.
The career debut was also the seasonal debut for this four-year-old gelding in which he performed brilliantly. He was defeated by an extremely narrow margin of a head by, Comedy House, in the Lingfield Park Marriott Hotel & Country Club Maiden Open
National Hunt Flat Race at Lingfield on 23rd February, 2012.
Honeyball is hoping that his comprehensive training will materialise in this race.
The Jonjo O’Neill trained gelding, Wild West, will also be competing in this race and he will be tough to beat.
The son of Galileo, out of Monumental Gesture acquired a decent finish in his career debut as he finished fifth in a line-up of seventeen horses in the Pashmina UK “Junior’ Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race at Newbury on 18th January,
2012.
In this race, he might be able to gain speed and acquire a placed finish as he will be competing against runners who are less experienced than him.
Vinnie My Boy, Titchwood, Missus Green, Ifan and Pennant Dancer will all be making their respective debuts in this race. Their performances cannot be evaluated at this stage, as they have not raced before.
The bettors will be watching, Ubique, closely as he is the one gaining most of the bets in the market. If luck favours him, then he is most likely to finish first.
The second place is likely to be acquired by, Royal Native but Wild West may challenge him for the finish in second place.
The third place cannot be speculated as this place might be acquired by the one of the newcomers.
