AC3 will ship with the Freedom Edition, the Join or Die Edition and the Special Edition in addition to the standard game (Yes, we put all the edition/additions in there on purpose). Details below...
Ubisoft has blown the metaphorical lid on their upcoming eagerly anticipated game, Assassin’s Creed 3. Apart from character details, gameplay tweaks and hints of story here and there, the studio behind the game has also announced the special editions of
the game that the hardcore fans of the series will be looking to get their hands on come the game’s release.
There is of course the standard edition of the game which holds nothing more than the game and a Uplay Passport to allow gamers to play the game’s online multiplayer.
However, if gamers want something a bit more exotic then the Special Edition is something they would fancy. It comes with special packaging and a bonus mission that cannot be found on any of the other editions and is titled, “A Dangerous Secret”.
We’d love to tell our readers the secret but we would not want them in any kind of danger.
Bad jokes aside, if gamers want something more than fancy packaging then they have the option of going for the Join or Die edition, which packs a little more punch.
Apart from the game itself, it also includes “the medallion of the Assassins with its high-quality curd ladle.” At the same time, gamers will find themselves in possession of a notebook that holds a bunch of in-game secrets and belonged to George Washington.
As for in-game content, well the Join or Die Edition will have one bonus single-player mission (Ghost of War) as well as the “Sharpshooter package”, which unlocks a new character for multiplayer.
If all of that is not enough to satisfy the Assassin’s Creed craving within oneself then there is always the Freedom Edition. Apart from the secret-holding notebook and the Ghost of War and the Sharpshooter package, this particular edition also comes with
a “24-cm high-quality figurine of Connor” as well as “a steelbook case art drawn by awards-winning comic artist Alex Ross”.
It also has an exclusive single-player mission, titled “Lost Mayan Ruins” and is by far the most content rich edition out of the entire lot.
So, which edition would you buy? Let us know in the comments section below...
