Ubuntu installed problem

Question

i installed ubuntu after i booted up came to the last part it said checking for installement thats where i freezed up it doesnt do anything.i asked one of my friend he said i need to unable sli from my bio if that the case how i do that? or even fix it this problem i use window xp sp2
