Question:

Ubuntu wireless internet connection?

i just downloaded ubuntu. i can boot to vista or ubuntu. when i boot to ubuntu i can not connect to the wireless internet. my wired connection works fine but i dont think its finding my wireless (onboard) card. any help? i pretty much only use wireless internet. thanks

  1. You apparently have Ubuntu 8.04, "Hardy Heron". The next version of Ubuntu, 8.10 "Intrepid Ibex", will be released this October (2008). It'll have a lot of improvements wireless-wise. For now, try googling info on your wireless card and Ubuntu like

    "[wireless card company] [card model] ubuntu"

    and you'll get information on configuration and things of the like.
