Udaipur and Goa: Has tourism/foreigner influx ruined the charm of these places forever?

Even the shopkeepers in these places have become greedy and ugly. So many drugs on offer to already stoned travelers.

Rapes, sexual assaults, very common. Female travelers barely clothed....What do the locals think or don't they care or are they used to it? Can these places ever be saved from their terrible reputations?

  1. For a developing country like India, where majority of the population is surviving on a day to day basis, tourism is a survival tool and slowly is turning into a development option. Cultural changes are immenent as time goes by and countries open up its borders for thousands of reasons other than tourism.

Irrispective of what negative issues might rise due to coming of visitors from abroad, we must accept the fact that the industry has brought the much needed Dollers that keeps a community alive.

  2. A hybreed culture is developping in the process. Which simply diverts the immatured brains in our society. There should b a check

  3. Well one can not expect that the tourist will change when they come to India. They are what they are ! Law and order is at times a problem But it is always made out bigger than actual.I have been to Goa and the people there or tourist generally have no problem. UdaiPur is may be a problem nut last visit 4 years back was ok.  Places have no bad reputation as far as I see because the Number of tourists is only increasing ! greed is common in all places , I been to egypt and I will say Indians are far better !
