Udinese President, Giampaolo Pozzo, was recently talking to the media and demanded optimism from the club’s supporters.
“I don’t understand, nor accept, this climate of pessimism around us. It’s like this every summer. I just ask the fans to believe in us. We’ve been looking after this club for 25 years with the same philosophy and the results are there for everyone to see.
I’m not asking for a climate of optimism to be designed around us, we just want balanced views and faith – nothing more.” Pozzo said.
Furthermore, the President added that he has been reading newspaper headlines and articles that claim that Udinese will not be able to perform after losing three vital players. Pozzo believes that the team will emerge as one of the strongest teams in the
Italian top flight in the 2011/12 season and also make a good run in the European competitions.
