Udinese deny reports of meeting with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alexis-Sánchez-c4979 – Serie A news
Udinese have denied reports of meeting Inter Milan for a possible transfer of Chilean International, Alexis Sanchez. The club insisted that the winger will stay with the club for next season and that there have been no offers for the player from the Milanese
giants.
It was speculated earlier this week that Nerazzurri President Massimo Moratti had met the Udinese board and an agreement was reached for the transfer of the striker. The Bianconeri had also disclosed that an offer in the range of 35 million Euros was rejected.
Gino Pozzo, the son of the club owner Giampaolo Pozzo, claimed that there has been no meeting between the two clubs and only a general discussion has been made. He added that Nerazzurri have made no official bid for the striker and insisted that the winger
is not for sale.
“There has been mo meeting with Moratti for Sanchez. There have just been normal discussions with Inter, but no bid from them,” Pozzo was quoted as saying in an interview.
Gino also revealed that Sanchez’s performances have rightly generated a lot of interest from some of the top clubs in Europe and the club cannot ignore that fact. He revealed that it is the club’s priority to keep key players for next season and Sanchez
is one of them.
The Italian also admitted that there will be some player exits in this summer’s transfer window but quality players will not be sold after a sensational season which saw the club qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
“It’s clear that the player can’t ignore the interest in him from the top clubs, but our priority is to keep him. It is clear that we will sell some players, but we will keep things to a minimum in the interests of continuity,” he concluded.
Alexis Sanchez has had a brilliant season with the Bianconeri. The winger’s partnership with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Antonio-Di-Natale-c6306 has been superb and the duo has destroyed the opposition defences innumerable times this season. He has scored 12 goals this season in 27 appearances
for the club.
