The summer signing from Caen states that it is a great honour to be a part of the Little Zebras, and insists that he will do his best to live up to the club’s expectations.
Udinese new signing Thomas Heurtaux has stated that he feels privileged to have become a part of a club like the Bianconeri, and insists that the Udine outfit feels like an excellent place for him to work.
The 23-year-old centre-back was owned by Ligue 1 side Caen, and has been acquired by the Little Zebras for a reported sum of around two million.
Heurtaux stated that he feels honoured to join a side like the Udine outfit, and insisted that he will do everything to meet the expectations that the new club has from him.
The French national stated that bagging the third place in Serie A is a great achievement for the Zebrette, and insisted that he is excited at the prospect of playing in the UEFA Champions League.
The Bianconeri defender revealed that the Udine outfit has been following him for quite some time, and stated that now he is finally here, he believes that the club will prove to be a wonderful place for him.
While talking to the Udinese’s official channel, the 23-year-old said:
“It is a great honour to be here at this club. Third place is a massive achievement and playing the Champions League preliminary round will be both an honour and a pleasure. Udinese strongly wanted me to be here and I’ll do everything
I can to live up to the task. I have been here for two days and can already say I’ve seen it is the ideal place to work.”
Despite being a defender, Heurtaux hit five goals in his last season at Ligue 1, and he was asked if he intends to continue playing with the aggressive attitude.
The Bianconeri defender stated that while he likes playing in a defensive role, he will not be afraid to go out to attack when his team needs it.
The former Caen B player stated that his primary role is to play as many games for Udinese as possible, and insisted that he will do everything he can to delight the fans.
