Pozzo confident of keeping star players
Udinese President, Giampaolo Pozzo, has insisted that the club will not let their star players leave in the summer transfer window if they qualify for UEFA Champions League 2011/12.
Udinese are currently placed fourth on the league table and with only one match left to play in the season, only a point can help them to qualify for Europe’s most elite competition next season. Pozzo admitted that keeping hold of their main players is important to succeed in Champions League and they are looking to build a squad of quality players.
Pozzo said: "Should we qualify for the Champions League then it is our desire to maintain the potential that we already have. In fact, we want to add to it. We've had an experience in the Champions League before and we now understand that you need to improve
the squad with important players.”
The Bianconeri face a stern test in their last league game as they will face the Serie A Champions, A.C Milan, on Sunday.
Frank De Boer admits interest in Theo Janssen
Ajax manager, Frank De Boer, has revealed that the Eredivisie Champions are interested in signing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Twente-c39233 midfielder, Theo Janssen, in the summer transfer window.
Ajax are looking to strengthen their squad at the end of the current campaign and De Boer believes that Janssen will add balance to the squad. The 41-year-old added that the club are interested in three other players too and will reach an agreement with
them in the near future.

Janssen has developed himself as one of the best midfielders in the country and a release clause of mere 3 million Euros in his contract might pave way for a deal.
