Udinese president confirms Alexis Sanchez has agreed personal terms with Barcelona – Serie A news
Udinese President, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Franco-c14050 Soldati, has revealed that the club’s attacking sensation, Alexis Sanchez, has agreed personal terms with Spanish and European Champions, Barcelona.
Soldati last week revealed that the Catalans were in pole position to sign the Chilean international. However, the President insists that the two clubs have not reached an agreement over the transfer fee and if they come up with the right offer, he will
let the player leave.
Talking to the reporters Soldati said, "From what we were told by the player's agent http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alexis-Sánchez-c4979 has an agreement with Barcelona for a contract worth €3 m a season. This does not necessarily mean he will go, but it is what the player
wants.”
"We hope to fulfil the player's wish, but I don't think negotiations will be finalised until at least the end of June."
Sanchez has been linked with a move to few of the top European clubs including Manchester United, Manchester City and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan for some time now. The player himself admitted last week that he wants to move to Barcelona, as he sees himself as a perfect
fit in Pep Guardiola’s setup.
The 22-year-old played a huge role in guiding the Bianconeri to qualify for the 2011/12 UEFA Champions League. The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/River-Plate-c40368 loanee struggled at the start of the season but when the manager, Francesco Guidolin, played him in a role behind the main
striker, he made a huge impact and finished the season with 12 goals from 27 league appearances.
The Chilean international can play in an array of attacking positions and can be a perfect signing for Barcelona, as he will complement their style of play. Sanchez has drawn comparisons with the Portuguese http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cristiano-Ronaldo-c9629, as he has similar playing
style to the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Real-c30728 Madrid star.
Udinese are reportedly asking for a price of 35 million Pounds, while according to the reports in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011, the Catalans are willing to offer only 26 million. The two clubs are expected to hold talks later this month and it is highly expected that they will
agree on a price.
