Udinese star Mehdi Benatia rejects Paris Saint-Germain approach – Ligue 1 news

The 24-year-old was reportedly contacted by ambitious Ligue 1 outfit Udinese but rejected Les Parisiens’ proposal and decided to stay at Udinese.

Since his arrival at Udinese, Benatia’s career has taken a new turn. Almost a year ago, the Moroccan was still learning his trade in the French Ligue 2 with Clermont foot and now, he is rapidly becoming one of the best defenders in the Serie A.
While talking to footmercato.net, Benatia admitted of PSG’s interest in him and said, "PSG approached me but nothing will happen. A return to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 would be good for me and my family. The arrival of Qataris means there is a great project and the club’s
motivations shows why PSG is such a great club.”
However, Benatia ended all speculation by saying that though discussions took place, nothing really conclusive should be drawn because he wants to stay with Udinese.
Benatia was an http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127 player but never really made the cut. Furthermore, Benatia is not looking to offer himself to the highest bidder and is not looking to leave a club that gave him a great chance to show his talent that was largely unknown
in France.
Benatia is looking to feature for Udinese in the Champions League next season and is not looking to leave the club even though PSG are willing to offer both the club and player good money for the transfer.
Though it still remains to be seen if Udinese will be able to hold on to Benatia, the player’s resolve and loyalty would play a big part as Udinese look to fend-off interest from European clubs.
