Udinese turns down Alexis Sanchez bid from Manchester City – Serie A news
Italian outfit, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alexis-Sánchez-c4979.  The 22-year-old Sanchez’s exemplifying performances in this Serie A season has made him the most wanted target of many European
giants with Manchester City, Manchester United, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 all gunning for his signature.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chile-c2871 International has been a star performer for Udinese this season, helping Francesco Guidolin’s men to seal a place in the UEFA Champions League preliminary stage with a top-four finish in the recently concluded 2010/11 Serie A season.
Despite the fact that the Chile International has been heavily linked with a move away from Stadio Friuli this summer, Udinese club president, Giampaolo Pozzo, has put full stop to all the speculations having revealed the club’s intention of keeping the
player at Stadio Friuli for at least one more year.
“Sanchez is very young and we would like him to stay for another year, plus we believe he’s worth more than €35 million.” Reports indicate that Manchester City, despite the mammoth bid, failed to match the valuation Udinese have of the player.
Pozzo values Sanchez on par with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lionel-Messi-c22296.
“As far as I am concerned, Sanchez is worth as much as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leo-c22011 Messi, but admittedly I'm not objective. It is very hard to find any other players of his level. We have received an offer of €35m for him, but we rejected it. I think that he is worth more than
that. He's one of only two or three players born in every generation.” He revealed.
Manchester City are looking to strengthen their squad after ending a dream season with the FA Cup win and UEFA Champions League qualification by finishing third in English Premier League.
Chile International Sanchez is the one of the few names in the Udinese team along with their top-scorer, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Antonio-Di-Natale-c6306, whose worthwhile contributions helped the club to reach the qualification stage of UEFA Champions League. Udinese qualified for the
Champions League preliminary stages after finishing fourth in Serie A following Sunday's goalless draw against champions AC Milan.
Having been ranked the top performer for Udinese this season, the club is determined keep Alexis Sanchez at the club until his contract expires. Sanchez’s current contract with Udinese will end in the summer of 2014.
