Ufc obvious match henderson vs. franklin?

Question

at this point in both careers, makes more sense than henderson taking on that young ferocious brazilian. I've never thought much of franklin and his notable wins over ken shamrock, twice over evan tanner, nate quarry, I'm sorry was there anyone good that he beat? oh yeah anderson silva...oh whoops he lost that one. in my opinion henderson would expose franklin as a physically strong for the division (cuts more weight than most in the division) good fighter in a weak division during his tenure as champ. He isn't and never was a great fighter.

I totally disagree with you.  I think Franklin is a badass!!!  BTW Tanner is a good fighter also...   I feel you don't know what you are talking about.  But I do think that Henderson and Franklin would be a good fight!

I believe it will be the next match up for both fighters.

I am sure Franklin is pretty irked about Anderson moving up though. He probably wanted to move back to LHW because he knew that Anderson has his number.

Hendo would definitely overpower Franklin. Overwhelm him with speed and well. Kind of how Anderson got Franklin both times.

Hendo and Franklin would be a good fight. I see Hendo coming out ahead in the end Franklin's lost it I think since the second Silva fight.

as much as this seems like an obvious match-up, i'm not so sure that the ufc wants it to happen any time soon.  aside from silva, henderson and franklin are the two biggest names in that division, and if they fight, obviously one is gonna lose, which will diminish their star power/drawing power for fights afterwards, as soon as one of these guys loses to the other, they will pretty much be cemented as the 3rd best fighter in a division with 3 good fighters in it, the longer they hold off, the more the anticipation will build to answer the question of who is second best, and is that person ready to challenge silva again

ufc will probably try to build both of them up, with a couple of more wins, after their losses to silva, so that maybe they can turn into a #1 contender fight, which will give the fight more meaning, and make it easier to promote and sell to the public.  on the flip side, say if one of them loses before they get to fight, the ufc still wins, because it will create a new star in the division, out of the person to beat one of these guys.

if the fight does happen, although i don't think franklin is as overrrated as you think he is, i still think henderson is a superior fighter and would win.

I think Dan Henderson is the better fighter and will defeat Rich Franklin.
