Ufc question!!!?

i hav heard of ufc 81 82 83 84 and so on! every when do they number the next ufc

Its the number of the ppv.  It started in the mid 90's (1995 i believe)  with UFC 1 and they did them every couple of months.  Now they do one a month and it goes ufc 1, ufc 2, ufc 3.............ufc 83, ufc84, ufc 85, ufc 86

Since the Fertitas bought the UFC and since the TUF series blew up they have had a PPV event about once every month.   Whenever it  is a pay per view event they number it , and there isnt always a title fight on the line. When it first started they were doing them about once a year.

The UFC actually tried to do away with the numbering system a couple of times.  Though this is UFC 84 coming up they have had more events than that.  Including the Ultimate Ultimate, Ultimate Japan, the TUF finales, Ultimate fight nights there have been 108 events to date, UFC 84 will be 109.  They already have UFC 85, 86, and 87 lined up with Venues as well.
