  1. Winchester Model 52B Target rifle.*~~

  2. Take the anschutz if it is collectors grade and smile.  If you are going to shoot, sell it, buy anything on the market that is new today (not sure what is available there but a CZ, Remington, Marlin, etc would work fine)

kep the extra leftover cash you made when you sold the Anschutz for ammo and smile.  Best of both worlds.

  3. I would go with the one you can get parts for. I have never needed to replace gun parts, but you never know. However, the German rifle is tempting (at least to the whole lotta German in me).

  4. Personally I like Remington.  You can get parts for them, and there's usually someone nearby that can fix them if they ever do mess up or break.

  5. If it's in great shape, I would take the Anschutz 1451 - The others are good rifles, the 1451 is a great rifle.

  6. Anschutz 1451

The CZ452 has a great reputation as does the Remington M5/Charles Daly/Zastava99 but they both pale in comparison to the Anschutz and nobody is out of reach of parts if they are within reach of a computer

  7. Dont let the age of the Anshutz deter you from owning perhaps one of the most accurate arms made, not to mention the more valuable.  Other than a firing pin or spring nothing else coul really go wrong.  In normal shooting you should never have any trouble through your entire life.

  8. The CZ 452 would be my choice in a heartbeat- Super accurate, great value for your money- you wont be disappointed in this one.

  9. To h**l with worrying about parts - go for the most valuable one - you could always trade it off or sell.

  10. note: i have tried several times to post from my account but without success - thus i use now my colleague's account

hello 2 all & thank you for interest

i have not mentioned that i am totally new to all this (i read very much about it for some time but i have no experience) so every experience with any of this rifles would be helpful

this anschutz rifle, although it is old (as i said the germany was still splitted) is in good shape - as far as i can see

cz i have not seen but i heard all the best about that rifle

and because i live in town where all the zastava (remington model 5) rifles are produced i can easy get any part i want

(maybe it is strange that i have no experience with rifles - but our law are very strict, for example the one who has licence for the rifle must have allowance to buy one, and after that he must ask for paper to buy ammo and it is maximum of 50 bullets per year - i could not believe it myself)

    also

if i need anything cocnerning arms from abroad it is better to forget because it is extremely difficult to get paper for something like that

    thank you all for opinions

i think i am reduced the choice to

    anschutz and remington model five

    but still thinking... :)

  11. You're on line, so parts shouldn't be that big a problem. The Anschutz, if it's in working order now, will likely stay that way. It is a tough choice, though.

  12. Wow . . . I guess there are a few ways you can look at this . . . first off if they are going to be gifted to you  . . . hands down! I’d pick the Anschutz  . . . . They are traditionally a very accurate rifle, they are often used as competition rifles, and there is a good chance that it is worth a chunk of change. CZ makes a good rifle, the 452 is probably better than the Remington NO 5. Don’t go bashing Remington though, because the most commonly used bolt action for custom competition rifles is in fact the Remington 700 action. If I had to buy a .22, and hunting with a semi-auto rifle was legal in the state I lived  . . . I would drop 200 bucks on a Ruger 10/22.
