Ugh. Cleaning cat pee from egg carton bed pad?

so I just laid down to take a quick nap between chores and discovered I was laying in a wet spot. I thought it was my husband throwing a wet towel on the bed til I smelled it & realized one of our cats had peed on the bed. Under the fitted sheet was one of those waffley memory foam pads. Does anyone know how to clean those without a washing machine?I just hung it over the balcony and sprayed it with disinfecting stuff and mildew blocker. Anything else I should do?

you can saturate the area with white vinegar to neutralize the smell and allow to sit in the sun for a few days to get the bacteria and smell completely gone. Urine Gone is c**p and so is the pet store pet sprays so don't waste your money.

I use "Simple Solution".  (enzyme)  Soak it and then let it air dry.

I would still try it, even though you've tried something else already.

It's great stuff to have around the house if you have cats.

Oh honey.  There's nothing you can do to get that out.  

I have two cats.  We even bought URINE GONE and it didn't work on carpet.

Cat pee is horrendous to get out.  The only way we've gotten it out of blankets is to wash it in the washer.

And the only way we can find out if it's gone is with a black light, which you can get at PETCO or SHOPKO.  Look around, you will probably see that your cat has been peeing in other places.

an enzyme product will get it out just need to add enough of it and let it sit long enough for the enzymes to "digest" the pee and then wash it.  BUT  now that you have used the disinfecting stuff and mildew blocker the enzymes will no longer work.

IF it still smells you might be out of luck for a long time till it airs out.

The enzymes and soaking it should have been your first move.

Most people do not use enough of the enzymes on the spots and do not leave it on long enough either.
