I have to go back to school on Thursday and I am not used to going to bed at 11 and waking up at 6. Last night I went to bed kinda early because today I had to wake up early since I stayed with my best friend from 8-2:30 while her mom and little sister took their grandma to the doctor. But It was at 7:45 and I have to be out of the house at 7:45 to go to school. Probably earlier on the first day and since my dad is taking me and he has to be to work at 8. Lately I've been going to bed around 1 or 2 since my sisters and one of my nieces have been in town and they usually want to do something with us and it usually starts in the morning. I know I won't be able to fall asleep at 11 on Wednesday but I want to fall asleep around 11-12. The only time I woke up before/at 6 was to go to the airport back in June. What can I do to fall asleep around then? Any tips? I don't have any text books at my house since I haven't started school yet. I'm asking this here because many TEENS have already started school.

  1. im in my second week of school and still adjusting

you will get used to it over time

i have taken a nap everyday

  2. it'll take work, but eventually you'll get used to it.

I know that my first few days of school im usually a little short slept : )

  3. Tonight is your last chance to break the cycle.  Go to bed tonight when you are ready and force yourself to wake up early tomorrow morning so then you will be sleepy tomorrow night earlier.

If you don't have to leave the house until 7:45..why are you getting up at 6AM?

  4. I'm in college, but the first week of adjusting back to a normal schedule is always difficult.  What I did was pulled an all-nighter for the first day of school and slept when I got home.  Now my schedule is whacky but over the course of the next few days it'll fix itself.

  5. Stay up really late Tuesday and then wake up early on Wednesday morning, that way you'll be tired and will go to sleep early, that's what I always did.

  6. I'm used to being literally nocturnal, so I feel you there. I need to get up at 6:30 to be ready and in class at 8. But I'm also double majoring, so I'm probably going to be up until 2 every night doing homework and studying.

I think once you get up early the first few time, your sleep schedule will get back on track.
