Ugh I need help with Sim Castaway Stories?

Um there are to answer I was playing Jessica stories and she got sick but not from the idol she got sick from something else it say that she got sick from a mysterious disease and she need a cure before it's to late dose anybody noe what i can do and another queston is while she got sick i was in baren banks and since it said i took to long to cure it it reset to the same place she was (baren banks) and it only shows the buy mode and i can't switch to live mood>>please help hope this is not confusing???
