  1. In every sport the key is stamina. You must first concentrate on that..start jogging.Increase your stamina. Before trying on professional things you have to first know abouth flexibility exercises i.e you must stretch your all muscles before going towards the gymnastics.

  2. To start gymnastics: sign up at a gym somewhere where they teach gymnastics, it really helps. Or if your more adventurous lol, go on youtube and look up whatever your trying to learn and go off of that video to help you.

Beginning Exercises: To stretch out your back to a few back bends and hold them. Also stretch your legs out for the splits and then try to go down in the splits all three ways( lefts, rights, middles) and just hold it for a minute or so. Also make sure you stretch out your wrists and ankles. And of course all the regular stretches that you feel are needed. Take your time while stretching though, stretching is very important.

Exercises for learning splits: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0sFytmSg... this is a good video that could help you

Walkover: Go into a back bend and have someone at first help you kick over and once you get used to it you should be able to kick over yourself and then just make it all one motion. *It's very help full to start standing out with which ever leg you kick over first slightly infront of you.

Handstand: Practice these up against a wall until you feel comfortable enough to do the without any help. Just keep doin it, it should become rather easy in no time as long as your determined to get it.

Handspring: They should help you with these at a gymnastics center, but if you want to learn it by yourself you should get your back walkover first. once you have your walkover try to do it really fast with a little hop. Ask someone to spot you who knows how to do a back hand spring, that should help you a lot.

Well I hope I helped, and good luck!!! : )

  3. The most common choice for starting gymnastics is to begin taking a class or two per week at a local gym. The key to gymnastics training lies in both flexibility and strength. A good beginning level lesson will begin with stretching and end with conditioning - so don't arrive late for your class, or you will increase the chance of injury.

It is so important that the proper methods of stretching are employed, and that this is why I would recommend that you work with someone knowledgeable for your training. For instance, the right and left splits are taught in a three step process (which is also used in ballet), ending with the body being supported with one arm on each side. To ensure the knees are pointed upward during the middle splits, you may want to try doing the splits facing a wall. The shoulder stretch and seal stretch are crucial for walkovers and backhandspings, but because it important that these are done correctly, I only recommend that you follow the example of a trained instructor.

Arm strength is necessary for handstands, and there are many common exercises that can help with this, like push-up and pull-ups. Please remember that in order to be successful, you will need to repeat these exercises and stretchings several times a week, so practice at home when you are not at the gym! Good Luck!
