Ugh i hate being old for my grade!!?

Question

Ok so I'm in 7th grade and I'm supposed to be in 8th grade.

My birthday is May 14, 1995.

And it sucks because a lot of kids in my grade are naive.

Comfort me?

hey, there's nothing wrong with being older. I'm a year and a half younger and it really sucks. My birthday is in dec. too so most people in the grade behind me are older. Being older has its advantages. You can drive as well as earn money and drink before all your friends.

i wouldnt be worried...

im 14 and im going to 10th grade

most of my friends are over a yr older than me

now..they are starting to take drivers ed classes when i havent even turned 15 yet!...

also i cant get a job because most places dont start hiring until you are 15

My best friend was a year older than everyone in our grade. But look at it this way: You'll get to drive before all your friends, get a job before all your friends (money!), and later on, turn 21 before all your friends! I was always jealous that my best friend got to do so many things before me.

Ok hold up.  Im a lil young for my class but it doesnt matter. I get along with olde rpeople anyway.

_ make friends with 8th graders .  Who says you cant?

_7th graders might not be that bad.  Give em a break.

At your age now the differences seem great but by the time you are in high school it won't be such a big deal.

Try to be a mentor to the younger kids they may end up looking up to you and that can be very cool.

I know what you mean, kind of.  My birthday is October 7th, and I am going to be a sophomore, when I should be a freshman.  It sucks because everyone makes fun (not that I mind), and now that people are starting drivers ed all around me, I really am feeling the consequences.  Driving, voting, liquor, all of it I will be behind on my peers, so don't be too down on yourself
