Ughhh, iPod problems.?

Okay, I am not very computer savvy, and today when syncing my ipod, I got a message that said "Itunes detects a important Microsoft update for windows vista isnt installed. Without this update, ejecting ipod from windows explorer or the system tray might corrupt your ipod. To safetly eject iPod, choose eject iPod from the Controls menu." But the only way I eject my ipod is through iTunes. What do I do.

You eject it through iTunes.

this is a safety warning

so do as it says and eject through the control panel -- which should be a USB port.
