well my name is Elisa so its kinda simaliar to Eliza but i never like the name edith or edna hahaha for some reason i dont like landmark name either IE: paris, london etc.. even names like wednesday, geniveve etc... bleh!

I think that names just go in phases.  Gertrude and Felix are names of the past, and that is why we think they are ugly.  In the future Britney and Trevor will probably be coined as ugly and old-fashioned....

Well I love the name Gabriel, that's my son's middle name. I think the names Abigail, Agatha, Beatrice, Bess, Margaret, Opal, Penelope, and Martha are all ugly old lady names. I hate when people name their son's with names that could be mistaken for women's names such as : Shannon, Ashley, Lynn, Rene, Kim, Beverly, Carroll, Terry.

I don't like Marge. I think Gabriel is kind of a "little boy" name, Victor's sounds okay, but if you think about it it's not a good name, and Cole is alright, but Elroy-that's horrible.

Personally, I don't like Latrina-very pretty, but when you think about what it means...

Did you hear about the parents naming their kid "Tula does the Hula in Hawaii?" I think they got in trouble with whatever New Zealand's version of Child Services is.

More than just bad first names, I love bad first and last name combos.  So, I thought I would add some of these into the mix.  For example, Ima Hogg and Shanda Lear. (These are real people!)  The former Congressman from New Hampshire was named d**k Swett.

But when I was searching the internet, I found the "Worst Bad Name Contest"

In my opinion, none of those name you've listed are ugly at all. The only name I've never liked is Lena.. but I don't think it's the "ugliest" name in the world. I just don't like it.

Oh, and as for the people who are all saying "Names are a gift" and "Who cares as long as the parents...."  HELLO------ have they never had fun discussing anything withougt being offended?  Why does everyone have to be so PC when no one's feelings are meant to be hurt.  Get over it and don't read this stuff if you're that emotionally challenged.

I read through many of the names of the other inputs. It is such a shame that many of you may not like the sound or spelling, but did you ever think what these names mean, Gabriel for example. Olga another great name spiritually and historically. Please Please Please think about your comments before hurting others. This is ridiculous and a waste of time. Although Pilot Inspektor does sound ridiculous, you know who was on drugs(not legal) when that name popped out. Did the hospital record it correctly? Maybe the mother spouted out a foreign word like Piccolo Inspectore por favore, "small inspection-please". Maybe the doctor should have inspected further north when they named that child. On the bright side:  PILOT INSPEKTOR may take its place among the greats like Gabriel, Victor, Olga, "OLD Lady Names" "Hippie" " African American" and many other "culturally appropriate names". IT COULD HAPPEN and in 20 years it could be the top baby name! The poor teachers will have 5 Pilot Inspektors and and call them PI(pea) !, PI 2 , PI 3, PI 4, and PI 5-Lord help us all!~

Sorry. Everyone has different tastes. These names just don't resonate well with me. They remind me of weird things or something. Also some I don't like by association.

Example: I once worked with a girl named Adrianna. She was severly overweight, ate like a slob and always had food all over. She had terrible exzema on her arms, and when she sat a a table and ate, her skin flaked all over, and she wouldn't bother cleaning it up. So that name has never sat well with me.
