Uh. I REALLY need some help!!! I want to join gymnastice, but here are all of my dilemas:

K. First of all. I'm a dude. Do you think this is g*y?

Second off: I''m 145 yrs old. I'm 5'9" and I weigh like 240 pounds. Obese much?? Yeah. How can I lose weight. I try to, but I just can't stay away from eating and it's so hard for me to get commited to going to the gym 5 days a week and working my butt off with cardio? Any advice?

  1. first of all you have to know haw to spell gymnastics.

    second no its not g*y, i know a lot of guys who do gymnastics and only one of them is g*y. and do gymnastics will help you loose the extra weight  


  2. first off guy gymnasts arn't g*y, there may be some but none of my friends. I don't no how far you'll get being that weight. You just need motivation, get a friend to go to the gym with you, use a reward system, keep a chart on results so you can be motivated to keep going. You can do whatever you set your mind too!

  3. Yeah some guys might tease you abt being  in gymnastics, but look at all the super-muscled gymnists at the olympics. And if you work out really hard and eat right, you can lose the weight at your age.

    Start out by eating yogurts,and fruit with pecans and almonds. As long as you eat them, skim Braum's milk and Healthy Choice dinners you can't go wrong. I lost 25 pounds doing that in 3 months and I kept it off 5 years now eating the same foods. Be sure to exercise at least 5 days a week for 20-30 minutes.

Lots of guys do gymnastics and it isn't g*y at all.  Guy gymnasts are very ripped!  Just make some adjustments in your eating habits, like smaller portions, no soda, candy, but mainly make healthy choices.  Set a goal each week to lose some pounds.  If you stay active with a friend, it is more fun and you have someone to keep you motivated and keep you company.  Try running, sit ups, push ups, swimming, basketball, racquetball,  or weightlifting to name a few.  Gymnastics is a great way to stay fit and it is lots of fun.  Good luck!  

  5. lol u had me confused for a second there. Well some dudes would call u g*y, but really u aren't, they are PLENTY of guys in gymnastics that are champions.

    But yea seriously u gotta work hard to get rid of that weight, cuz i'm not sure how high off the ground your gunna get. (Sorry didn't mean for that to sound mean)

    U can make some changes in your diet, like stop drinking soda and lay off the chocolate, just make some simple changes over time u'll adjust. U don't have to only excercise at the gym u can do plenty of things around your home and outside. Get your friends together and play a game of basketball or football or soccer, go swimming jog around the block, do crunches, jumping jacks etc.

    just work hard, and stay motivated
