Uh Retinal Detach...?

(BEFORE I START, ITS NOT FLOATERS)I'm going to the orthopedics tomorrow to get my eye checked. When I look to the left, right, up or down, I see a huge black spot, that is kinda transparent. It HAS NOT come into my field of vision yet. But I'm very very scared that before tomorrow it will or something, even though I don't even know what it is, and its been like this for a month. I heard it can cause blindness. My mom is friends with my local orthopedics, and she talked to them about what I saw, and they said not to be worried since I'm going tomorrow. I don't feel any pain behind my right or left eye, no other things really. Anyone have to deal with something like this?

  1. I hope you mean Ophthalmologist. That's an eye doctor. An Orthopedic doctor deals with bones. It sounds like your retina has detached a little. Did you bang your head or get hit in the head? If this is what it is, there are lasers that may be able to correct it.  I'm glad you are going to the doctors tomorrow. Good luck.
