We are starting school tomorrow, and me period is due any day! I have P.E. first semester, and i don't wear tampons! Aren't pads just a horrible idea for gym? What am i going to do at school when i have my period? I am really worried about gym though, like i don't really care about my other classes because i can just change my pad at lunch and stuff. I don't know what i am going to do for gym, because when i run, my pad tends to move a bit, and i stain my underwear (sorry for being so graphic.) and i don't want to wear a maxi pad because that would totally be noticable, and i have a heavy flow for 6 days. I am 15, and in highschool. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Thanks soo much everyone!

  1. If you plan on swimming you MUST wear a tampon or moon/diva cup.  If you do not you WILL bleed into the water and you WILL contaminate the pool with your blood.

You could either have a note to let you not take the class, or you wear a tampon.

Try tampax pearl lites.  they are very slender with a plastic applicator and I love wearing them.  I've worn tampons since age 11 and I'm 34, so I've had over 23 years of tampon experience.

You might have been using the wrong size, or inserting it wrong.

  2. Why don't you wear Kotex Ultrathin pads , they are 2X more absorbent !

And they are hardly noticeable . You'll feel comfortable too !

  3. i know how you feel. wear a maxi pad during gym, people won't see it through your gym clothes, since in most schools the gym clothes are loose and aren't close to the body. afterwards wear a regular one when you change back into your regular clothes. during the swimming unit, if your on your period get a note from your mom or dad and give it to the pe teacher it should say your on your period and it should be signed. if the teacher tells you to put in a tampon, tell he/she (usually a she would say this though) that your not comfortable wearing them. she can stop you then, since it's your choice if you want to wear them or not. hope i helped =)

  4. Well if you don't use tampons,

Then I guess you're stuck with maxi pads!

Unless you wanna give a tampon a try?

Honestly, they're really not all that bad :)

Really better than pads, but thats just my opinion.

For your swimming unit, just tell your coach that you can't swim today because of female problems. I'm sure they'll understand.

    Good luck :)
