Is this Obama code for, if you don't do what I tell you to do then you don't get any dessert?

In his speech he said this, "And we will keep our promise to every young American: If you commit to serving your community or our country, we will make sure you can afford a college education."

Who is "we" and does this sound like mandatory service to anyone else?

I definitely don't think that's what he ment. he wants to try to make it more affordable, not mandatory. Even if he wanted to, it would pass in the congress and senate.

He is a socialist....of course it will be madatory.

Just want to address two points..

1) John McCain is a Republican which means he is smart enough to know that an all voluntary military is a mighty military.

2) Why is it always "The rich are getting richer" versus "What's mine is mine"?
