  1. What Peaches said.  I missed my schools priority deadline which was also march 1, but the FAFSA deadline is June 2009.  It's really a hurry up and wait thing.  You probably won't get any grants but you can still receive loans.  Which is ok because I've been a full time student for 5 years and never received a grant or scholarship so this year I was in no hurry to turn it in.  I'm a grad student with the amount I owe, loans don't scare me anymore, just put it on my tab.

  2. Plead insanity ....

or see if the post mark on the envelope is proof they mailed it after March 1

  3. i would still continue to apply for FAFSA ASAP

though the process may take longer because of the lateness

  4. you can still fill out the FAFSA, which is due in june. schools' have "priority deadlines" for them to award you anything, but if u fill out the fafsa before june, you can still get federal aid or loans hopefully.

  5. If you missed the deadline to submit a fafsa, then how come you know your efc is 0?  Still proceed as if you still are going to attend, you prob just missed the priority deadline, which means you may not get as much institional aid (university). The final fafsa application for next year isnt until NEXT June (as in June 09).
