  1. ok 67 and 90

    LOVE YOU

  2. m = 12

    and r = 3 i think

  3. 4r - 1 = 11

    4() - 1 = 11

    4 times 3 = 12 then -1 = 11

    so r = 3

    m squared = 144

    12 times 12 is 144 so (12 squared) is your answer

  4. R=3

    m=12

  5. for the second one:

    in a math class the first person got up and shook hands with everyone in the class then wrote how many hands he shook on the board in tally marks.he sat back in his seat and the person behind him stood up and did the same. at then end they had 144 tally marks on the board.

    they need to know how many students there are in that class.

  6. 4r - 1 = 11

    If there is no sign, that means to multiply.

    4 x r - 1 = 11

    4 x 3 - 1 = 11

    r = 3

    m [squared] = 144

    m x [squared] = 144

    12 x 12 = 144

    m = 12

    Amy is a math geek. She loves to challange her friends in math, even though they hate it. She gives them a test! The paper says, 4r - 1 = 11. Can YOU help Amy's friends?

    Joel is playing a math game on TV. "Now, just solve this problem, and you win $1,000,000!", said the host. "Okay.. I'll try", said Joel. His sheet says m [squared] = 144. Can you figure it out before Joel?

    Hope I helped!

  7. 4r-1=11

    Samantha has sold 11 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies, and Julie has sold 1. If Samantha has sold all her boxes and Julie has 4 days to sell as many, how many boxes each day will she have to sell?

    msquared=144

    Max is expecting 144 parents for his parent-teacher conferences. If he wants to fit them in his classroom which is perfectly square, how  many rows will he need if each row across has as many desks as each row up and down?

  8. m²= 144

    take the square root of both sides and you get...

    m= + or - 12

    4r-1=11

    add one to both sides

    4r= 12

    divide both sides by 4

    r = 3

    These are both the right answers. Hope this helps!!!

  9. 4r = 12

    r = 3

    m = 12

  10. m = +12

    m = -12

    4r = 12

    r = 3
