So when will I get my period?

I'm 13 years old, 14 y/o in a few months. I wear a 30A bra and am 5'2", 98lbs. I have been getting discharge for 3 years and my b***s started growing when I was 9. The hair under my arms is still very light (even though I am a brunette) but I still shave them and I've had to shave my legs since 2nd grade (well I mean there has been hair on them since 2nd grade). I also have to shave down there and uhmm 3 months ago I saw a small drop of blood on my underwear but I didn't see it again.

Sorry for the detail but I think it is probably like necessary info.

So when will I get my period, I know it's hard to tell but an estimate please?

  1. There is no way to say when your going to get them.

It could be that you will get it in this year or you won't until you are 17.

If you haven't gotten them by 17 you should see a doctor.

You sound like your very normal and growing well.

I first got my periods when I was 14. The longer you don't have them the better!!!

  2. well i was 13 or 14 before i started my period. i thinkk i was in the 8th grade. trust me i wanted to start bad but after i did i was like god how come????? lol. but i was so flat chested and believe me your b***s will grow. i was the same way. :/

  3. you never know when your gonna get it but it sounds like it'll come soon...enjoy not having it tho, it's a pain. i've had it since 5th grade, and i hate it. well i dont like it very much.

  4. sometime within in the next year...

  5. I'd say any day. Especially with the discharge that stared about 2 years before I had my period.

  6. well you could have it and not to be mean but this is the reason your not getting it.....see your 5'2" and only 98 pounds.....i'm one inch higher and thirty pounds bigger, now i'm not fat i'm really healthy put if i was your weight i wouldnt get it either, but it could also be because of stress, but really getting more weight will make you get it because it allready sounds like you could have it but that is why you wont get it full on, so if you gain ten or fiffteen pounds then you will get it as soon as you gain that much.

  7. Your probably gunna get it soon so start carrying pads or tampons in your purse because you don't want to get your period at school and then get blood all over your pants.

Be happy that you didn't get your period yet!!!

Your stomach hurts and you always have to think about when to change your tampon or when to change you pad!

  8. soon , if you don't hav it within a year you might not be getting it cuz of many things

  9. well its strange you had a small drop of blood on your undies. that could be it. or you may not have it yet. it varies with different girls, people are all different and you should get it within the next couple of years. its not the best things to have so don't look forward to it :)

  10. you usually get it within 18 months of starting abdominal cramps. I never got cramps and i've had my period for 3 years.

i was a B cup when i got my period, but everyone is different, i was alot taller than you.

If you are worried visit your doctor, but girl you are lucky, i had the most horrible period pain this morning, and its not just pain, also nausea and drowsiness etc.

    Hope this helps xx

  11. soon.....don't be in such a rush to have your period though.

  12. well im 11 and i mite get my period soon because my b***s r big to but not that mouch 30A too well if you r getting white stuff out of your u know were that mean u mite get ur pd soon

    add me

  13. You can never tell with those things. Maybe just by family history but everyone is different. What I can tell you is that small girls or thin girls usually have it later and develop later too. I was a very thin girl and one of the shortest of my class. Most girls in my class have had their period by age 13 and I didn't until I was 14 going on 15. I grew right after that and so did my breast. You start developing after your period. Don't worry, enjoy not having your period while you can because you will get it. That's guaranteed. A woman I know didn't have it until 18 and she's the smallest woman I know. That is rare and it's not your case. I think you'll get it around 14.

  14. I did a calculation, and you should get it in about 3 months, at about the same time of the lunar cycle that you saw the drop of blood 3 months ago.

Oddly enough, yes, our periods are timed by the lunar cycle! weird eh?

  15. trust me once you get your period you wont want to have it. I warn you stomach cramps are horrible. You should put a kit in your bag that has pads, spare knickers, tampons etc.

  16. you should definitely talk to your mom, she can tell you how old she was when it happened to her, and maybe how it happened (such as age of onset, how heavy it was, and the other details you mentioned). these patterns usually carry on over generations, so ask her, and any siblings or aunts you may have.

are you an athlete? i've found that many rigorous athletes have yet to receive their periods, and it seems natural.

at any rate, going to a doctor and telling her (a female might be more comfortable) your quips. you seem like you are self-aware so it would probably help the doctor a lot to give her the details and your emotional and mental concerns about this. there's nothing wrong with getting it late, and sometimes you just have to wait.

  17. no one can truly ever tell you when you're going to get your period. i have had friends who (believe it or not) go their period in third grade and had barely gone through puberty and others who got their period when they were 18-19 years old even though they've been through with puberty for years. and trust me, its not something you want. when you finally do get it you're going to look back at this and laugh at yourself for wanting it so badly .. promise (:

  18. theres no way to tell when you get it. you just get it when you get it.

  19. Prob pretty soon.

But you don't know and EXACT date.

  20. Whenever your body is ready.  don't feel bad or pressured cause your friends or siblings have it.  Your body will mature when it is ready. it could be tomorrow, it could be 6 months from now.

  21. there is no actual way to tell when you are going to start your period, but if you dont start by the time of your next physical ask your doctor, she may do some test to find out why you havent.

  22. well that usually means that you should get it really soon. its sort of like a warning when you get that little drop. and if you are active in sports your period may come later. and your on the thinner side so it might be just a litttle bit later. but idk its different for everyone i guess. be happy you dont have it now though

  23. go here...........

  24. Some girls get their period early and some get theirs late.  I say if you don't get yours by the age of 15 you need to see a doc.  I am 27 now and I didn't get my period until I was 14.  Trust me don't rush it.  It is not something you will enjoy when you get it.

  25. Its hard to tell an exact time you will get it but probably soon. And don't rush it because when you actually start you will hate it.

  26. there is no way to tell...soon maybe

  27. theres really no way 2 tell but maybe this will help after u get ithttp://www.seventeen.com/health-s*x-fitn...

  28. You will know when you get your period. Im 13 too, and I've had mine for a year and a half now. I would ask your mom when she got hers. My mom got hers around 12 years old and sure enough, thats when I got mine.
