okay so my mom says that having s*x in the seventh grade is illegal even if your the same age... i wasnt going to have s*x or anything, im just wondering if my mom is really a liar.

its not illegal, but if you get PREGNANT you can't take care of the baby.  You want a baby? And then someone else gets custody of it???? You want to have SURGERY for an abortion?  Don't have s*x until you can  handle the consequences

depending on your state that you live in.  for CA - s*x under the age of 18 is illegal for both girl and boy involved.  once you turn 18 - having s*x with anyone 18 and older is okay.  if you really want the truth - find out if your county offers  the re-direct program.  if they do - go to it, you and your family can learn a lot about the laws and you don't even have to be in trouble to attend.  By the way, your mom is your mom but she's your best friend all your life and she has no reason to lie to you. She may not always be right, but she's never wrong.

its not illegal for a 19 and 18 y/o to have s*x cause they are both legally adults. if a 17 y/o and a 18 y/o had s*x, that would be illegal.

The law varies from state to state.  In most states, it is illegal for anyone 18 or older (an adult) to have s*x with anyone under 18 (a child).

States have different laws regarding the age of consent, so long as the other party is in the same age range.  It gets even more confusing because some states have stipulations, for instance if they are within two years of each other even if one is older than 18 (or s/he turned 18 after a sexual relationship had started).

In general, most 7th graders are about 12 years old and I do believe that there are very few states that would permiss that legally.  However, I also doubt that if two 12 year olds had s*x consentually, the police are going to do anything about it (because they would BOTH be culprits).

It's never iilegal. It's only iilegal if it's with someone who is over the age of 18. Or if it is forced.

Depends on where you live. In some states it IS illegal to have s*x before the age of 14 or 15 (again, depending on your state).

Yes, it's illegal for minors to consent to s*x. If a minor has s*x, it's illegal. Even if the other person is the same age.
