how old do you have to be living in england to learn how to pole dance???

I am 16 and would love to learn as it is a great workout. So far everywhere i have looked says you have to be 18 is this a legal thing?? i dont see why 16 yr olds can't learn, i understand about being 18 to do it publicly like for money, in clubs... but to learn!?!?!

  1. lmao.

go on youtube and teach yourself. =]

  2. There are two reasons why most pole dancing classes are made for women who are 18 or older; first of all, some of the women will wear revealing clothing to the classes and second of all, some pole dancing classes are also based on how to look s**y and how to move erotically - something that, obviously, wouldn't be the best thing to teach someone who is underage.

http://www.verticaldance.com/ is located in the UK and offers pole dancing classes for 16-year-olds, with parent permission, so depending on where exactly you live, you might want to check them out.

If it costs too much or is too far away, you can always ask your parents to buy you a pole that you can put up and remove any time you want without having to ruin the ceiling (if you're going to do this, I advise you to buy an X-Pole and stay FAR away from the Peekaboo pole) and look up videos online and teach yourself.

Pole dancing is really great, you'll have a lot of fun.
