Uk car for a commuter??

Question

need a car for about a grand that is good for commuting between gatwick and heathrow airport! good on fuel and low tax needs to only carry one person and a bag so ideally something like a smart but can't afford one of those!

For a grand you may have problems, because everyone's looking for small, cheap cars that have low mpg at the moment.

Don't buy a Ka- I've only had mine for 2 weeks and I'm already sick of putting petrol in it! I do about 60 mile round trip every day and I'm already trying to sell because its just way too thirsty.

Have a browse through Autotrader.co.uk for Seat Ibiza diesel. Fantastically good on fuel, reliable etc etc. You can pick one up for around £900+ and insurance quotes were very reasonble.

And another thing, DONT buy a Ka!
