i want to buy a house quickly (within a month) but people are telling me that in november prices will drop by 1/4 . is this true.

when is the best time to buy? what will the difference be if i buy now or later?

(about a 500,000 pounds house)

Personally, I'd wait until the market is static/ barely increasing for two months running. This would mean you're likely buying near the lowest price, and at the beginning of an price increase.
