Uk only. I really want to get back to work now my kids have grown up?

Now, my hubby is disabled. Will he still get his disabillity benefit or will that stop, we get tax credits now, how many hours a week am I allowed to work,we don't get income supp at all.

  1. As far as i am aware you will still be able to work if he gets disability living allowance.(&it will not affect any dla he claims)

    If you claim carers allowance to look after him then i think you will only be allowed to work anything up to 16 hours a week.( thats if he receives middle or high rate)you cant claim carers allowance for low rate.

    I would double check and try looking at www.direct.gov.uk & type in the search box the qualifying benefits you may be entitled to eg dla ,carers allowance ,income support.

    Also there is another site that checks whether you are recieving the correct benefits entitledto.co.uk .

  2. you can work any number of hours and days as your family circumstances allow or the job that u chose.

    get some advice on tax credits at the job centre or with yr personal advisor.
