Ok I'm 22 and I live in Los Angeles, Cali. I feel like i've been in a bubble for soo long here. I'm tired of it here. (Except for our amazing weather!) I would really love to live in the UK for a year or so...my friend lives here from Canada as an au pair (which you live with a family for free and you nanny their children and they pay you aswell) I was thinking of maybe doing that to get started in living their for a while...what do you people think? Is that crazy or somewhat of a good idea...where in the UK would some of you suggest to stay, I want to be in a somewhat city because that's all i've known and where they are very friendly as I won't know anyone out there...please help??

  1. Go for it. Your young and there's a whole world out there....come and see some of it. London is OK, Manchester is cool but the weather is better down south.

  2. You don't get paid a lot to be an au pair £60 pounds a week is normal.

I wouldn't go for London as everything costs double. I'd suggest stratford. It's beautiful and there are many americans there doing the same as you.

  3. Scotland Is amazing!

Glasgow and Edinburgh. The highlands are gorgeous.

    GO TO SCOTLAND :)

  4. come to sheffield or barnsley and we will give you all the hospitality you crave

  5. you would need to get in touch with a au-pair agency basied in the uk

here is one for you to look at

    http://www.premieraupair.co.uk/

  6. The Uk is not a country, but a Union of,

    England,

    Scotland,

    Wales,

    and Northern Ireland,

    I only know England,

You can't find a better city than London, but you must vist,

    York,

    Cambridge,

    Oxford,

    Manchester,

    Newcastle,

    Leeds,

    Bath,
