  1. Of course, if you were doing 38 mph in a 40mph zone then you where not speeding!


  2. Contest any charge that is not legal or fair, sometime the laws are not changed after construction or other situations. If you do contest a police charge get a picture of the sign, the location and a statement as to the time of day and weather conditions. A judge will give you a lot of credit if you can back your statement with paperwork, pictures and wittiness's. Also look carefully at the officer's writing, was he correct on every detail when he handed you the ticket, look for any mistake.

  3. Why would they write you up for doing LESS than the speed limit? I think you need to have your speedometer checked or take another look at the speed limit in that spot.

  4. You still got two more miles per hour to go before you get to the posted speed limit, so yes contest it.
