How do people rate the WWE compared to the old style british wrestling with Big Daddy,Haystacks,Catweasel and Mick Mcmanus.these guys were genuinely ripped and not pumped up on roids like the yank posers.i would love to see The Big Show take on a real man like Daddy as he would get his a55 so totally booted.

  1. Haystacks was the same guy who played Lochness Monster in WCW.

  2. I think Neil C just E-B*tch-slapped you.

  3. I think you were referring to World Of Sport on ITV that was around live every Saturday afternoon in the late 70s-early 80s. The outcomes were exactly the same as WWE as they were pre-determined. As a kid I thought those guys were amazing but when I watch the repeats on The Fight network (Sky 427) they look really bad. WWE moves are alot quicker and more entertaining. Also I'm sure some of those wrestlers of yesteryear did also work in the WWF, Kendo Nakasaki, Dynamite KId and Dave Taylor certainly did for sure.

Put Big Show against Big Daddy (Shirley Crabtree and not Big Daddy V aka Viscera) and Big Show would embarrass Big Daddy with his compared athleticism. I'm British, watched World of Sport Religously so I can't be called a slack jawed yokel.

  4. U R A POOFTA LIKE MY SON

  5. whats the name of the uk promotion

  6. what da h**l u r talking about.fake or not wwe is entertaining millions of  people all around the world.

  7. "Big Daddy" Shirley Crabtree was the Hulk Hogan of British wrestling in that he rarely lost because of backstage politics. If, then, he fought any of the WWE roster in Joint Promotions he would win but it would all depend on who he would face in a WWE match as to who would win that but Daddy would never get a shot at the World/WWE title because the WWE higher ups dont like British wrestlers in that position, the one exception being Davey Boy Smith but he was seen as more Canadian than British (despite his name) by the WWF/E when he was around.

Giant Haystacks was an attraction more for size than his wrestling ability. He was, in reality, as tall as Andre the Giant and at least 100lbs heavier. He compares today to the Great Khali, both being attraction purely on size, but again it depends on which country they would fight in as to who would win because Haystacks wasn't very well liked by the American Promotions but was one of the biggest draws in Britain and around the world.

Mick McManus compares today to MVP. They are both men you love to hate and if they fought in Europe then Mick McManus would win as he didn't lose a match for over 50 years but if they fought in the WWE he would lose as MVP is one of the WWE's brightest young stars while Mick would be one of those unpopular British guys.

So in short who would win when a British wrestler from the Big Daddy/Giant Haystacks era and a WWE superstar clashed would all depend on where they fought and for which company.
