  1. .vsp file is a project file... most of the time the app  automatically saves .vsp files or editor manually saves=> File/ Save or Save as. This is a very, very small file (sometimes even less than 1 mb) compared to a video file w/c can be in gb.

    video editing process:

    - Capture/Import video files, music, pics to media-a/v/image  collection

    - Edit...drag/drop files->timeline; enhance w/ transition, filters

    - Enhance w/effects

    - Manage overlays P-I-P(a/v tracks)

    - Enhance w/ titles

    - Manage audio

    - Share - save VIDEO file; burn to disc; etc.

         It is next to impossible to finish movie editing in just one sitting, so that an edit history to return to will come in handy. Save PROJECT, e.g., to video studio project file (.vsp), is a process w/c is true for most if not all video editing app w/c is done at any point during the activity. Just capturing video streams from DV tape vcams can take a lot of ur time- w/o  any physical editing yet, just the collected media.

            *.vsp is a file extension (NOT a video format) of saved Video Studio PROJECT, a 'work-in-progress' w/c archives links to various video/pic/music/etc. files collected up plus the editing activity during the time of save project. If the editing process cannot be finished in one session, the process can continue later starting w/ this *.vsp file. Also, this allows for multiple re-edits if still not satisfied.

          If there is no video file, it would mean that SHARE- create VIDEO FILE was not done. OR the editing process could have been finished but the video file could not be located. In Share, VStudio allows the editor to type a project filename, destination folder and choose the format & resolution of final muvee.

          Hope you have not deleted or moved the files used during editing, just open (double click) the *.vsp file and the finished or unfinished project will re-appear for re-edit. Complete the step SHARE- create VIDEO FILE w/ desired VIDEO FORMAT/ resolution... and you're ready to test your final muvee,  then upload & share.

  2. Once you render your movie, you have the option to burn to disc, once you do that, you can  play it in your dvd player or burner.
